Program Integration

A core part of our business is managing interior integration programs for reconfiguration of aircraft where components and systems come from a variety of suppliers.  Program Managers monitor the scope of the project and coordinate activities between all parties involved.  Engineering resources are dedicated to ensuring proper interface of new products/systems within the existing aircraft, and substantiate the design for installation into the the aircraft structure.  Technical Publications consolidates all engineering data resulting from the reconfiguration and provide manual supplements or mark-ups to the OEMs for inclusion in the airlines’ custom technical manuals.

Industrial Design

Seeing is believing.  Sometimes it is easier to make decisions regarding a design direction when artwork is available, a sample is in hand, or a mock-up can be studied.  Heath Tecna employs a team of industrial designers and model makers who can supply these items to our customers.  We can also provide sizing, space and usability studies based on ergonomic standards and anthropometric data.

Focused on delivery and based on our inherent understanding of all the issues involved, we provide all the necessary input to meet the specific demands of each project – taking into account client and third party resources.

Design and Development

Aircraft interiors have been our business for over 30 years, which has provided us with an excellent overall engineering expertise to meet customer demands.  We have all the necessary engineering skills in-house to design and develop your product requirements.

Manufacturing

Heath Tecna's manufacturing facility is designed fully equipped specifically to produce aircraft interior components.  As a Production Certificate holder, our manufacturing staff has been trained through FAA-approved quality programs and is internally certified to perform specific types of work required in various areas.  High quality is our objective, paired with tight production schedules to meet customer needs – both of which are strictly enforced on all programs.

Installation Support

Installation, being the final phase in a program and the most important to our customer, must be accomplished smoothly, efficiently and within the desired time frame.  To help achieve these requirements Heath Tecna supplies designated and experienced installation liaison engineers.

Certification

Heath Tecna certifies both products and their installation with applicable regulatory agencies.  We have approved FAA DERs in-house, from multiple disciplines, to assist with certification and obtaining Supplemental Type Certificates (STC’s).  Since our customers are worldwide, we have gained vast experience working with domestic and foreign regulatory agencies, including the CAA (United Kingdom, JCAB (Japan), LBA (Germany), CASA (Australia), CAA (Hong Kong), CAAC (China), Tranport Canada and EASA (Europe).
Heath Tecna has a partnership for safety with the FAA and holds an FAA Production Certificate.

Overhaul and Repair

FAR and EASA approved ‘repair station’ capabilities support our own and third party products.  Linked to our product support, these responsive units have the resources to undertake everything from on-site repairs to managed overhaul programs – or from ‘scope of work’ surveys to complete fleet upgrades.

Product Support

Heath Tecna has a Technical Publications department to supply IPCs, CMMs, WDMs and other aircraft related documentation.  For our products and installations in service we offer a full range of dedicated support with round-the-clock contact and a rapid supply system.  Heath Tecna also supports a worldwide AOG spares system.

Flammability Testing

Heath Tecna operates its own flammability and testing laboratory to validate our own products, and we are pleased to offer these services to our customers.  The laboratory is equipped with heat release, smoke density and vertical burn flammability testing equipment capable of performing to the FAA FAR25.853 requirements.   A variety of testing equipment is also installed for mechanical and physical properties testing.  All technicians are highly trained and a FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) is on staff to support certification testing.
