Most integration programs are driven by airlines who want to reconfigure their aircraft fleet with new BFE seats. Often this is done because shifts in market demand, or trends, push the airline to reconfigure the aircraft to remain competitive. Class lines, seat pitching, and a number of other parameters will need to be changed to support the installation of the new seats.
As Heath Tecna does not manufacture single PAX seats (we do manufacture lounge seating and supplementary seat components), we've become accustomed to working with some of the biggest names in the BFE seating industry on integration programs. No matter the third-party supplier, Heath Tecna has a great certification department to guide all parties towards the eventually award of an STC for the program.
